Overview

Scheduled in Frankfurt as a half-day forum, this event is tailored to the German and broader DACH audience, emphasising cloud sovereignty in the context of European regulations and German innovation.

As Europe doubles down on digital sovereignty for competitiveness and resilience, Germany stands at the forefront, being Europe’s largest economy and home to key sovereign cloud initiatives.  The Frankfurt edition will align with the VMware “Tour and Explore” series, complementing its technical content with a deep dive into local policy, compliance, and cloud innovations in Germany. It will facilitate dialogue on how evolving laws (EU and German) are reshaping cloud strategy, and how businesses and government agencies can respond. Germany has some of the world’s most stringent data protection and residency requirements, guided by the GDPR and national regulations. As a result, German providers have been leading the way in solutions to keep data within German borders.

This event’s rationale is to provide a forum for stakeholders to understand these requirements, share best practices, and highlight opportunities for innovation within a sovereign cloud framework.
